* location - search by name, zip, airport code, ski area, or lat,lon, recent locations, permalink urls (?q= short), geolocation, recent list: type to filter, remove single / clear all, re-shows METAR/TAF for saved airports
* forecast - current + daily periods, expandable hourly detail, mountain base/peak temps, snow depth, icy-conditions flag, sub-freezing temps highlighted, freezing level FZLVL + context (all snow / mix / rain line), snow-to-liquid ratio (SLR) chips (powder snow, average snow, dense snow)
* aviation - raw + decoded METAR/TAF by ICAO/IATA, 3-letter codes auto-tried as K-prefixed US ICAO; falls back to aviationweather.gov link if no raw report, interactive token-by-token METAR/TAF decoder panel
* alerts - live NWS alerts, winter hazards flagged distinctly, self-computed overnight frost/freeze warnings (<=36°F frost, <=32°F freeze), self-computed dangerous wind chill warnings (feels-like <= -26°C / -15°F)
* trackers - cold ~ coldest US + world spots (400+ locations, US + world, max 3 per US state), snow ~ ski area current conditions & 7-day forecast (549 top areas), regional filtering for snow tracker (us-east, us-west, canada, europe, row)
* units - F/C toggle (persisted), switches wind/precip units + date format, auto light/dark theme
* text mode - plaintext view, curl/lynx friendly, ?format=text or .txt urls, copy link / copy plaintext summary (formatted text output for terminals/sharing)
* offline - cached results with per-type TTLs, stale fallback, force refresh, batched + rate-limited tracker requests with automatic backoff retry logic
* cache - location 3h, cold 3h, snow now 6h, 7-day 12h, alerts 20m, grid-points 30d
* header - live clock, updates every 30s
* coolness - cool factor = off the charts
